Made of food-grade NICKEL FREE stainless steel, these cookware items are non-toxic, non-allergic, and more energy-efficient. The pot body and inner base are made of Japanese standard JYH21CT SS (21/0), while the outer base is 430 SS (18/0). Nickel-bearing stainless steel (e.g., 304 SS) is commonly used for cookware, but nickel is high up on the ATSDR list of priority toxins and it leaches under regular cooking conditions. Nickel-free stainless steel is not only healthier but also more heat-conductive than nickel-bearing SS, resulting in a noticeable degree (12-15%) of energy savings.

ATTENTION

Thanks to the even heat conductivity feature of this product, cooking at MEDIUM heat (approximately 248°F, 120°C) is usually enough, and it is also good for nutrition preservation. The cookware is oven safe to 400°F (200°C). Please always use a potholder or oven mitt.
